The inspiration for this piece was the origin of the Dryad in ancient Greek Mythology. Dryads were tree spirits, who are thought to be an integral part of a tree's life, and if their tree died, they too would perish. But these spirits could be immortal, as well as the tree they belonged to. It is recommended that this piece be framed after purchase. It will come packed between multiple layers of board and then bubble-wrapped and protected with a strong cardboard box.
